I like the blocks set without the white -- I'm always really cautious about using white in donation quilts just because of the difficulty in keeping it clean!

The colors of the Puss in the Corner blocks look great. I love the green and purple together. I brought some colorful blocks to my not so LQS a while back to pick out a fabric for an alternate block. The owner advised me not to use wow or cow because it made the quilt look like it had "holes" in it (not literally of course, but from a design point).

Unless you plan on doing something fabulous in those empty blocks, I would go without them.

Oh, one of my very favorite color combinations!!! LOVE IT! I would drop the large white squares, unless you want to do some fancy quilting with maybe a variegated thread. Or more of your focus fabric in the center of each white block. Will look forward to seeing this one all done.
BTW, I'm old and I LOVE brights like that - LOL!

I really like the colors. Like others have said, I'd stick with brights. I'm also partial to using black with brights if I want to colors to really stand out.

Puss in the Corner green and purple are great without the plain wow white. Sure someone will be very happy with such a beautiful quilt. This Monday my design wall has also blocks that will be donated. Let's keep up the good work. Hugs - Ivani in Brazil

Oh, good! I'm so glad that everyone likes the bright colours all together because I like that setting the best, too.

Vivian, I first used that fabric in a table runner for a friend's birthday present, and I have used a little bit of the leftover fabric in almost every scrap quilt I've made since then. It's like a little secret with myself, knowing it's gone to so many different places. :)

Thank you all for your comments and opinions! Take care.
