I love the green and purple together. I brought some colorful blocks to my not so LQS a while back to pick out a fabric for an alternate block. The owner advised me not to use wow or cow because it made the quilt look like it had “holes” in it (not literally of course, but from a design point).

Unless you plan on doing something fabulous in those empty blocks, I would go without them.

LOVE IT! I would drop the large white squares, unless you want to do some fancy quilting with maybe a variegated thread. Or more of your focus fabric in the center of each white block. Will look forward to seeing this one all done.
BTW, I’m old and I LOVE brights like that – LOL!

Like others have said, I’d stick with brights. I’m also partial to using black with brights if I want to colors to really stand out.

Vivian, I first used that fabric in a table runner for a friend’s birthday present, and I have used a little bit of the leftover fabric in almost every scrap quilt I’ve made since then. It’s like a little secret with myself, knowing it’s gone to so many different places. :)
