My Stashbuster Report for Week 2 is this:
New fabric purchased: O
Fabric used from stash: 3/4 yard to finish a UFO.
Those are also my totals for Year to Date.
The other project I finished this week was a work in progress quilt started in 2008 (a Christmas gift), and all the fabric for it was purchased at that time.
Tomorrow I am starting a HeartStrings quilt for Quilts of Valor, so I will hopefully have a more impressive fabric usage report for Judy next week!
Happy Sewing!
Hi,
One way I calculate yardage is to multiply length by width and then divide that by 1512. that will give you the approximate amount used. If you pieced on a foundation, multiply that by two or if you need to include backing. It is not exact, but it is close.
Hi Darlene,
Thank you so much for the formula. I guess you can tell that math is *not* my best thing! 😉 I really appreciate your help! Take care.
