I had such high hopes for my stash report this week. I got a sewing machine restored to good working order, and I cut out pillowcase and cloth tote bag pieces to start making Christmas presents using that machine.
However, I ended up in the emergency room with a dog bite, instead. My two senior-citizen Fox Terriers (ages 13 and 16) got into an argument over a dog toy, and I tried to separate them. Ooh, la. I’m so silly. I guess there’s always next week for sewing, after the bandage comes off…. 😉
On the bright side, I guess it’s kind of sweet and nice that they even still want to play with toys at ages equivalent to 91 and 112 human years. If I’m still around at that age, I wonder if I’ll still want to do sewing?
You bet I will! 🙂
Happy Sewing!
Oh, your poor hand! I hope I never get bit by a dog or any other animal. I deliver mail for a living (really it pays for the quilting habit). At first I thought you were going to say that you had an accident with the rotary cutter. I hope you get sewing soon.
Oooh (chills down my spine)… I am always so careful with that rotary cutter! I bet you could tell us a LOT of dog stories.
I’ve just discovered your blog and have been admiring the quilts in your gallery. I particularly like the QOV quilt top called Harvest Festival ( I think that’s the name)
Is that a commercial pattern?
Thanks

Hi, Audrey! Thank you for visiting my blog and for your kind comments. I’m so pleased you like the Harvest Festival quilt top. Several people have asked me about that pattern, so I am going to do a little blog post to explain and provide some links. Take care.
Ouch!!! I think Ice Cream would make you feel better!
Yes, don’t you think for “medicinal purposes,” I should have lots and lots of ice cream? 😉
OoooouuuccchhhH!
I hope it doesn’t keep you out of quilting action for long!
My husband’s doing all the cooking and washing up, and now I have more free time to dig around in my stash. Always look on the bright side, I say! 😉
