We had a lovely holiday with our family, lots of beautiful sunny weather and fun activities. Since we were in the area, I went to The Quilt Room, which is a lovely quilt shop in Dorking, Surrey, and bought some fabrics to continue with my purple-orange-green UFO. I had got to the point where I couldn’t proceed any further because I didn’t have any more of these colours in my stash.
This is the original project, which was on my Design Wall a few months ago.
I bought 4.5 metres of these fabrics, which is about 5 yards. I also bought a fat quarter of another fabric, but I used that to make cushion ties for my father-in-law’s conservatory chairs.
So, my totals for the week are:
- Bought this week: 5.25 yards
- Bought year-to-date: 16 yards
- Used this week: .25 yards
- Used year-to-date: 24.5 yards
- Used (net): 8.5 yards

Happy Quilting!
Love your UFO! I just added my favorite Triple Irish Chain to my Blog Title and some of those fabrics are there! Looking forward to seeing the finished quilt — so far it is awesome.
love the look of those blocks.

You are still in the black and ready to sew more with added material!
hello again, this looks wonderful. I’ve been playing with HST so I have just rearranged mine like yours!!! Keep posting good ideas.
I like the blocks you posted…good job! Keep up the stash busting!
Very pretty fabrics! I am at a point where I need to add some large pieces of fabric to finish anything I am working on!! I like the block pattern, too.
My goodness those are lovely blocks. Do you also find yourself going crazy converting yards and inches to metres? It does my head in most of the time, even after bookmarking a few conversion tools on the internet. Having said that, when I saw a metric quilting book on eBay a while ago I decided not to touch it as my cutting mat & favourite rulers are all in inches.
