This is what my “Pinky Girl” quilt is going to look like when it’s finished — sort of. I had to improvise on some of the block designs in the drawing. It’s a good representation, anyway.
I drew this with my Quilt Design Wizard software, which makes a nice change from my usual method of doodling little pictures of quilts on scrap paper! 😉
This is a UFO quilt that I have been working on for the past few months, and here is my progress so far on the “real” fabric version:
I’m hoping to get the 9-patch borders on this week!

Happy Quilting!
Good work – love to see your updates
I haven’t heard of that designing program. Great to see you’re making progress on your UFO.
Very cute. I am still in the scratching ideas on a piece of paper mode.
love seeing the design and then the real thing! very cool.
Thanks for the kind comments, everyone!
Kathie, my very *favourite* method of planning a quilt is to draw it out on graph paper with coloured pencils — but some little person at my house seems to have run off with all my pencils! 😉
I love the design. The variety in the sampler blocks is pleasing to the eye and mesh well together.
You’re making me itch for a piece of design software; not easy to find when working on a MAC.
I have sort of stayed away from pinks for some reason, but I have a number of pieces. I may just have to plunge in with a pink sailboat!
glen: looking good!
Doesn’t the right software make quilt designing a pleasure? I love being able to quickly play with several options before deciding on a final design. The pink quilt is looking good.
My sweet husband bought the software for me as a present! 🙂 Someday I will probably get the programme you use, but for the moment, this suits my budget better. Thank you for your kind comments. Take care.
Hey, that’s really cute! Love the different shades of pink.
